With a new baby, there are firsts every day, it seems. And today was no different.

Today, Lewis and I went to the mall solo. We were on a birthday mission for Lewis’ cousin who turns two tomorrow. And we were awesome. He slept in the stroller the whole time. I was so proud.

But mission NOT accomplished.

We then headed over to my mother-in-law’s house to work on a quilt I’m making for a friend’s baby gift. Lewis was an angel the whole time we were there.

He was so good, in fact, that I decided I could leave him behind with his Grammy while I went downtown to finish the failed mission from earlier.

That’s right. Today’s big first was leaving Lewis with someone besides Kyle.

It was only for an hour. But it was a big deal to me. I feel so brave!

Tomorrow is his big social debut at his cousins birthday party. Another first!
