Not strep! Kyle kinda wishes it were so he could take something to help him get relief. But he must be on the downhill side of this thing now, so relief can’t be terribly far away. I hope he feels better soon.

Being a parent is hard. Being a parent with a sick partner is harder. Being a sick parent is the hardest.

Challenge upon challenge lately. I guess that’s just normal life now. Best we get used to it.

I’m better. Hooray! But my body is confused. My appetite is back and making up for lost time. I’m constantly ravenous. But nothing sounds good. So I’m having a tough time with figuring out that little dilemma.

Kyle is currently at zoom care getting checked for strep. We found white patches in his throat. Seems like a likely diagnosis.

Which means Lewis and I need to be on strep alert.

Also, I did 10 loads of laundry today. I’m not exaggerating. That’s what happens when you stop doing chores for 5 days. It took all day to wash and a whole hour to fold it all, even with Kyle’s help. And I still haven’t made the guest beds back up.

But the child is bathed, the groceries are purchased and put away, the laundry is done and the dishwasher has been run. We will live to see another day!
